Groom's Cake

The old Southern tradition of having a groom's cake is starting to gain in popularity throughout the country. Today the groom's cake can be served at the rehearsal dinner, wedding reception or given to your guests as favors. Traditionally, the groom's cake was either chocolate or fruitcake.
Today, however, the cake can be in any flavor and shape. If the groom is a fanatic about football, he may choose to have the cake in the shape of a football, etc.
It was believed that if a single woman slept with a slice of the groom's cake under her pillow, she would dream of her future husband. Hmmm...now wouldn't that be nice if we could see the future (or maybe not..)?
