Visitor Statistics
The number of visitors to our site has
more than quadrupled since July 1998. We now receive
between 800 to 1,200 visitors each day and over 1.5 million hits each
month!

Don't spend your time and advertising
dollars on sites that don't get the results the RI Wedding Guide
gives. In comparison to National Wedding Sites and other local
wedding sites, The On-line Rhode Island Wedding Guide is definitely
a less expensive, but more effective way to reach local brides.
Need proof? Ask those other sites to give you their
statistics.

Vendors often ask us what the
difference is between a hit and a visitor. There is an
important distinction between the two, so we've included "official"
definitions below.
Visitor/User Session- A session of activity (all hits) for one user of a web site. A
unique user is determined by the IP address or cookie. By default, a user session is
terminated when a user is inactive for more than 30 minutes.
Hit- An action on the web site, such as when a
user views a page or downloads a file.
What this Means - One
visitor represents many hits. For example, if a visitor
visits your site and visits 4 pages within your site, they would
count as one visitor and over 40 hits. In other words,
the number of hits is meaningless. The number of visitors is
the important number.
